Join us around the Spellbound table for a beautiful afternoon of sourdough, Pan de Muerto, mimosas, marigolds, and a little kitchen magic as we celebrate Día de los Muertos. 🕯️🌼

In this special hands-on workshop, we’ll explore Pan de Muerto, the beautifully shaped sweet bread traditionally enjoyed during Día de los Muertos, while learning a few new ways to work with sourdough beyond the traditional loaf.

We’ll begin by feeding a sweet stiff sourdough starter together. You’ll learn what makes a sweet stiff starter different from a traditional sourdough starter, why I love using it for enriched doughs, and how to feed and care for it at home. Your freshly fed starter is yours to keep!

From there, we’ll talk through the process of making an enriched sourdough and I’ll demonstrate how the Pan de Muerto dough comes together. You’ll then work…
